Audible True Crime

Social campaign promoting various
titles in the True Crime genre.

I was responsible for devising a visual language for Audible’s True Crime social campaign to promote various titles across the genre. I lent heavily into hand-written notes, scribbles, scraps of paper, annotation, police documents - any and all physical ephemera to create a grounded and visceral feel. I wanted to keep away from anything too digital as I felt it creates a layer of disconnect with the material espeically due to the nature of the social media space where most things are very slick and clean.
I injected some pops of colour using high contrast and grainy imagery soaked in colours related to each title. The distorted photography was inspired by badly reproduced images from old photostat newspaper articles. This was a very successful campaign that I continued to produce content for over several years.
